Michelle's forward about faith
England forward Michelle Agyemang has publicly reaffirmed her Christian faith.
And the 19-year-old’s not shy about putting God at the heart of her extraordinary success.
The Arsenal youngster, fresh from being named UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 Young Player of the Tournament, used a recent Instagram post to thank the Lord for every step she’s taken on and off the pitch.
Since bursting onto the European scene this summer, Agyemang has become as well known for her cross-emblazoned socks and Instagram bio featuring a cross as she is for her blistering pace.
In her Instagram post accompanying the announcement of her award, she declared: “1 Corinthians 15:57 – Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Agyemang’s faith journey resonates far beyond the locker room: she is a proud member of Ballers in God (BiG), a global fellowship of Christian footballers devoted to Bible study and prayer.
Supporters on social media and within Christian circles have hailed her as a shining example of a modern athlete whose identity rests not in trophies or fame – but in her faith.
“God is still in control,” she wrote in a previous Instagram caption.
