
God's love through sport
Sport is helping to transform young lives through the work of a charity which is “proud of its Christian identity”.
KICK has grown from having a skeleton staff to a large organisation of 90 people promoting values-driven physical education, dance, mentoring and a chaplaincy in schools and community KICK Academies. The staff strive to impact a sense of hopelessness that many young people feel.
CEO Joe Lowther explained: “KICK’s mission is to transform young people’s lives with God’s love, through sport.
“[We] go into schools to deliver professional services of PE National Curriculum, transformational street dance, solutions-focused mentoring and schools-based chaplaincy.
“We then look to equip local volunteers from local churches to reach local young people through coaching in sport or dance at the weekend called KICK Academies."
