Defender's post makes faith crystal clear

Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix recently shared a powerful message of faith with his followers on Instagram.

The 25-year-old French international posted a story quoting John 3:17: “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

Lacroix has been open about how his faith influences his life and career. Since joining Crystal Palace last year, he has initiated pre-match prayers with his teammates, including fellow Christians Marc Guéhi and Chris Richards.

Lacroix has described himself as the “pastor” of the team, often leading discussions about Jesus and sharing biblical teachings.

Lacroix’s openness about his Christian faith serves as an inspiration to many, demonstrating that it is possible to integrate one’s beliefs with professional life.

The French centre-back has also expressed gratitude for his achievements, including winning the FA Cup with Crystal Palace in May. In a post celebrating the victory, he wrote, “Giving thanks to God every step.”
