The missions group leads worship and, right, a group self with Hannah-Faith at the front

I saw God work on missions trip

Hannah-Faith Stone from Halifax Elim Church shares her experience of a short-term missions trip to Romania to visit Elim missionary Liz Face.

Why did you go to Romania? I wanted to witness a different ministry in a different country.

I was intrigued about the difference in culture and what that would look like, and to how Liz worked with the kids and what she focused on talking about. I thought that was interesting.

I also thought it was really cool to do something in a different language because I did A-level French – poorly, but I did it – and I thought it was great to learn a bit of Romanian.

What did you do there?

For the first few days, it was mostly doing kids’ sessions where myself and the other younger people on the trip prepared a session.

It was like your average holiday club, with games and stories, and then in our individual sessions we did a little talk and also someone gave a testimony.

I also mowed four large lawns on the hottest day and I was really, really, sweaty – like buckets of sweat! I did actually enjoy that!
