Grammy-triumph CeCe has Winans formula

Gospel powerhouse CeCe Winans has made history – and she’s giving the glory to God.

The grandmother-of-four reached a staggering 18 Grammy Awards in February in Los Angeles, tying with the late Aretha Franklin as one of the most decorated female artists ever.

Her latest win, Best Gospel Performance/Song for Come Jesus Come, features fellow icon Shirley Caesar, 87, in a cross-generational triumph that is turning heads across the music world.

In an industry often criticised for sidelining older artists, 61-yearold Winans’s success is striking.

But for the singer, whose career began with her brother in the 1980s before launching a solo ministry in 1995, longevity is no accident – it’s faith in action.

Speaking about collaborating with Caesar, Winans said: “It is an absolute honour… her unwavering faith has impacted gospel music and the world for generations.”

Come Jesus Come speaks directly into global uncertainty, pointing listeners to Christ’s promised return and restoration.

Detroit-born Winans has never shied away from her convictions – even turning down mainstream opportunities that conflicted with her faith.

Her career is not just about accolades, but obedience.

In a culture that too often sidelines the seasoned, Winans and Caesar stand tall – living proof that God’s favour is not limited by years.
