Ex-Doll Kaya's ministry pledge
Former Pussycat Dolls member Kaya Jones has pledged her life to full-time Christian ministry.
The 41-year-old singer declared she’s “working for the Lord” after a “life changing” baptism in Florida.
Born Chrystal Neria, she was baptised by Pastor Paula White at City of Destiny Church in Apopka on 23 May 2021 – a moment she says marked a new chapter in a long, winding spiritual journey.
“I’ve sung with Jagger, Britney, Fergie, Katy Perry and many others,” Jones posted on Facebook.
“Nothing and no one compares to singing with Jesus!” She added: “I’m finally now serving the Lord.” Raised in a Christian home, Jones said her faith drifted after her parents divorced.
At 19, she joined the Pussycat Dolls, admitting she wasn’t serving God but “glorifying” herself.
“I was completely serving myself,” she reflected.
“I didn’t realise I was falling away.” According to Jones, it was a period of profound searching – even distress – that compelled her toward faith.
“Everything tells us we are not good enough. That’s a lie from the pit of hell,” she said, underscoring how discovering her identity in Christ became essential.
“I’ve lived the heights of fame and the depths of brokenness,” she said, “but nothing compares to the joy of belonging to Jesus.”
