Ear, ear – it’s a double healing
Experiencing one miracle of healing is special enough, but how about two in the same ear? Ann Stevenson tells the story of her amazing double healing.
“It must be vertigo,” thought Ann to herself.
She’d experienced the sensation before, so when her right ear began feeling uncomfortable last October she headed to YouTube for exercises to shift it. But she had a holiday coming up and they weren’t helping, so she went to her GP.
“It wasn’t that bad, but I was going on a cruise. I thought I’d better get it looked at in case I had an infection,” she says.
Her GP spotted a problem in her eardrum. A second opinion from a colleague confirmed it was a polyp.
“They drew a diagram for me showing the polyp with three roots coming out of it,” she explains.
An immediate hospital referral was needed, Ann was told. Her GP urged her to cancel her cruise. She resisted, but five days after returning, Ann found herself in front of a specialist.
As she climbed into his examination chair it brought back a memory, and she smiled – but let’s come back to that in a minute…
Nothing to report
“I’m going to look at your left ear,” the doctor said.
“That’s all fine. And now your right… There’s absolutely nothing there!”
“Are you sure?” asked Ann, “because the GP drew a diagram of my polyp with roots and everything.”
“With respect,” he replied, “I’m the consultant. I examine ears all day.”
