Chad's faith takes leading role
Actor Chad Michael Murray has opened up about the role of his Christian faith in navigating life and work in Hollywood.
The Lone Ranger star has revealed a daily routine grounded in Scripture, prayer and family devotion.
Murray, who more recently played a lead role in Mother of the Bride by Netflix, said he begins each morning by immersing himself in the Bible and devotionals.
It’s a practice he has described as putting on “spiritual armour” before stepping into the pressures of the entertainment industry.
“I get up every day… read the Bible and do some devotionals,” he said, explaining that the habit shapes both his mindset and decisions.
Murray, who has worked in film and television for more than two decades, said his faith is not just private – it actively informs the roles he accepts.
The 44-year-old revealed he has turned down projects that clash with his beliefs, stating plainly: “If it’s not something I believe in, then that’s not for me.”
In an industry often criticised for pushing moral boundaries, his stance is a bold one – and, he admits, not always easy.
Yet he remains committed to living out his convictions both on and off screen.
At home, faith is a family affair.
Murray shared that he and his wife lead their children in reading the Bible, teaching them about Jesus and attending church together each Sunday.
