Actor‘s prime focus is God

Gavin Casalegno, the 25-year-old actor famed for playing Jeremiah Fisher on Prime Video’s hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty, is making headlines not just for his on-screen exploits, but for his bold, heartfelt declarations of Christian faith.

The actor regularly shares uplifting messages on TikTok, such as: “You can’t just be a lukewarm Christian … God wants all of you, not just the Sunday version.”

In another widely-shared post, Casalegno encouraged fans to look beyond their own strength, saying: “You’re at your strongest when you realise your strength doesn’t come from you.”

And in a 2024 video titled “A Personal Encounter with God’s Love”, he added: “I had to repent. I had to admit I couldn’t do it on my own … That’s when I felt God’s love the clearest.”

Born in Dallas, Texas, Casalegno grew up in a Christian household and started acting as a child. He has remained grounded in his faith, using brief social media breaks to reconnect with family and God – telling the Christian Post, “Deleting Instagram and all these apps … to spend some time with the Lord – that’s really where I thrive.” 

In November 2024, Casalegno quietly married Cheyanne King, a registered nurse and fellow Christian.
