Do you need a reboot?

The thought of losing years of music on his smartphone when an app was removed proved to be food for thought for Eric Gaudion.

I was in panic mode! I thought that all the music library on my smartphone had gone.

Over the years I had purchased and downloaded lots of wonderful worship songs, recorded music and albums, and in a moment they seemed to have disappeared.

In place of my recordings, there came only an invitation to subscribe to a music service that I did not want to accept.

I had already paid for my songs, so I didn’t want to pay monthly for the rest of my life for the privilege of listening to them! A quick call to my son who works in IT – plus an online search – and I had the solution, bypassing the subscription service to access my own library again another way.

But here’s the thing: I hadn’t used all those wonderful worship resources stored on my phone for a long time.

I had become distracted by many things, most of them good. And during that time, the app that I had been using had become redundant.

I needed to ‘stir up’ my use of something that has been a real blessing to me in the past, but I had allowed to become dormant.
