Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has revealed the amazing story behind the ‘eye blacks’ that went viral, spreading the gospel to more than 90 million.
Tebow, the Denver Broncos player, wrote “John 3:16” into his eye blacks before a pivotal game to win the national championship. More than 90 million people searched Google for the verse (“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”)
Three years later to the day, Tebow again lined up for the Broncos, as they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in a “crazy game” in the play-offs.
He was about to give a post-match press conference when the Broncos PR man stepped in front of him.
Tebow recalls: “He looks at me and says, ‘Timmy, this is exactly three years from the time you put John 3:16 under your eyes."
THIS ISN'T THE END OF THE STORY!
