Miss Universe praises "Christ the King"

Social media was set alight with faith and praise when Fátima Bosch Fernández was crowned Miss Universe 2025.

The Mexican beauty queen, 25, didn’t merely smile for the cameras as she accepted the iconic crown – she made the sign of the cross and pointed to the sky.

She later posted on Instagram bold declarations of her belief.

In her caption, she wrote: “God has destined for you, neither envy stops it, nor destiny aborts it, nor luck changes it.”

It’s a sentiment that echoes the biblical assurance in Jeremiah 29:11: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

Bosch, from Teapa, Tabasco, went on to declare: “Long live Christ the King,” a phrase that resonated with Christians around the globe and underscored the role of her Christian faith in her journey.

Another post from the new queen read: “What God knows about you is more important than what others think about you.” Her route to the title was far from smooth.

Days before the grand finale, Bosch made headlines by walking out of a public pageant event after feeling disrespected by a pageant official.

It was an act that won admiration from fellow contestants and highlighted her courage.

Now, crowned on the world stage, she stands as a striking example of how faith and strength of character can shine brightest under pressure – and how a beauty queen from Tabasco isn’t afraid to give God the glory.
