Hollywood Star Stephen Baldwin - How Housekeeper Changed Me Forever

Being a movie star and one of a family of famous actors, Stephen Baldwin thought he had it all but when he hired a housekeeper he began to realise there was more to life than fame

STEPHEN BALDWIN – the youngest sibling of Hollywood’s celebrity Baldwin brothers holds no punches when it comes to talking about his Christian faith.

While appearing on Celebrity Big Brother he constantly read Bible passages to his fellow contestants and tried to convert the eventual winner Alex Reid. He even baptised reality TV star Spencer Pratt during I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here USA’s edition. So it’s no real surprise when he reveals who his greatest role model is.

“My dad was one of my greatest influences but the ultimate dad is Jesus. He is the one that inspires me the most. There’s no question!” Stephen was raised in a Christian home in New York, along with his three older brothers Alec, Daniel and Billy. Following in the footsteps of his famous acting brothers, Stephen’s big break in Hollywood came when he starred in the 1995 film The Usual Suspects. He later played Barney Rubble in The Flintstones movie. But along with the sudden success and fame came the trappings of the Hollywood lifestyle including a battle with drug addiction.

DIVINE CONNECTIONS

But the biggest turning point came about when they hired a Christian housekeeper called Augusta from Brazil, who kept singing songs about Jesus around the family home.
